Hay artistas que se convierten en símbolos de una generación. A tal grado, que cuando se nos van, se siente como si fuese el final de una era. Este es el caso de Burt Bacharach, autor de tantos temas que forman parte de la banda sonora de nuestras vidas. Muchos de ellos acompañados de las letras de Hal David y en la voz inconfundible de Dionne Warwick.

He estado trabajando en esta playlist por unas cuantas semanas; es una extraordinaria coincidencia que Burt Bacharach falleciera justo cuando yo estaba a punto de publicarla. Bacharach tuvo una larga y fructífera vida y nos dejó un montón de canciones que estaremos cantando -o tarareando- por muchas décadas.

Me encantó el álbum de Burt Bacharach por las tantas interpretaciones cantadas por artistas de mi epoca a pesar de no entender el idioma oero me gustaban como las cantaban, su melodía, sus estilos y hasta bailé muchas de ellas. En estos días presentaron a Ornella Vannoni la cual está bastante acabada y Ton Jones que siempre lo he adorado. En fin, todos, todos muy queridos por mi. Gracias, gracias
