The Great American Songbook, Vol. 4

Los años 40 fueron realmente el punto más alto del Great American Songbook: Broadway y Hollywood estaban produciendo canciones inteligentes, pegajosas y hechas para durar. Compositores como Cole Porter, Irving Berlin y Gershwin (pronto compartiré playlists) le dieron a la década su columna vertebral.

Cuando las “big bands” empezaron a desaparecer, los cantantes tomaron el control y volvieron la música más personal y emocional.
